Formed in 2011, L’una Design has become renowned for it’s creativity and passion for contemporary design and interiors.

Based in a 2 storey studio in the heart of Montpellier, Cheltenham, clients can sit and discuss their project requirements in a calm and beautifully designed
environment and draw on the many years of experience the design team and partners share in furniture, kitchens and interior design.

The studio demonstrates the latest products and styles from Europe’s leading design brands allowing clients to sample the quality and design of furniture and
kitchen manufacturers typically associated with any L’una project. Inspirational contemporary kitchens from Pedini are partnered with contemporary furniture from luxury brands like Molteni, B&B ltalia, Fritz Hansen and Stua to name a few. Creativity, innovation and passion for design are at the very core of the business.

Dustin Wise

Director

A complete contrast to Dustin’s childhood dream to be a pilot in the Royal Navy, his career in interiors started at the age of 20 where Dustin was recruited to join a UK furniture and kitchen manufacturing and retail business in Tetbury.

Dustin spent the next 10 years developing his skills in furniture design and manufacturing and at the same time gained valuable experience of operating a small multi-million pound business with 9 retail outlets across the South West.

“I fell into this industry by shear chance and have loved it ever since. The production side of our industry fascinates me and I almost insist on visiting the factories of every potential supplier so I can understand what goes on behind the facade of beautiful brochures & literature -I’m very rarely disappointed!

Understanding a products origin in terms of design and manufacturing is key for me when selecting it for a particular project. I need to have confidence that it not only looks amazing but that it will actually live up to its expectation in terms of function and durabillity.

With over twenty years experience in the Event Management Industry and holding positions such as Event Manager and Wedding Planner for Gleneagles Hotel , one of the Leading Hotels of the World and then running her own very successful Event Management Company for many years. Michele is all about creativity, organisation and above all people, it is these very characteristics that forms the very core of our business ethos. “Without people you have nothing and we want our clients to fall in love with us first with the added bonus that we are so passionate about what we do and have some of the most beautiful products in the world of interiors”

She is always eager to please, a perfectionist and will strive in every way to ensure clients are happy at every stage of a design and project.

She has always shared a passion for interiors and and having lived 14 different properties Uk and abroad she has had many years of practice when it comes to sourcing and selecting furniture and creating beautiful interiors.

Natasha Halsey

Project Assistant

Using the multiple skills from her past 2 year role as Corporate Consultant for a leading financial advisory firm. Natasha has come to L’una Design to assist with present and future projects, back office duties and studio requirements.

Natasha has always had a passion and flare for design, having studied 3D spatial and interior design at HND level. She is excited to incorporate her existing people and administration skills, whilst learning the design process at L’una Design.

Installation Manager

Florian qualified as a joiner / carpenter at the age of 19 and spent the following 8 years as a fully accomplished cabinet maker. His passion for craftsmanship is clear in everything he puts his hands to and when he moved to the UK in 2007 his skills were certainly not wasted when he was employed by a furniture manufacturer in Worcestershire.

His move to Cheltenham in 2009 with his wife brought on a change of career seeing Florian move into the kitchen and start training to become a Chef however his desire to be “on the tools” never disappeared. Florian joined L’una full-time in 2013 having spent a short period of time working part time on various projects. “We saw great potential with Florian and his care and attention to detail were skills at the very core of our business. Bringing Florian into the team full-time was an easy decision adding strength to our installation team!”

Florian now heads up our installation team and manages site on every project

Neil-Snape-luna-team

Neil Snape

Project Manager

Neil started working life on his family dairy farm after leaving school at 15. Whilst working the farm, Neil studied and achieved top of the class marks in practical skills such as welding , fabrication and farm management. Neil’s responsibility grew within the farm and with that came great success , his herd being ranked in the UK’s top 5%. Sadly Neil lost his entire herd to TB in 2001 and unfortunately the farm had to be sold in 2002.

In the face of adversity, Neil kickstarted a career change, he took employment with a local builder and studied NVQs 1 & 2 in bricklaying. So inspirational was his career change, he starred in a BBC documentary.

To gain valuable experience Neil studied at the Inchbold School of Design, worked at Smallbone (Kensington), United Design (London), Johnny Grey and cabinet makers in Evesham.

Between 2004 & 2016 Neil had his own home refurbishment business and was contracted increasingly to work on L’una projects. We are delighted that last year Neil decided to join us full time as L’una Design’s Project Manager.
